Who IS The Alchemisstress?

Welcome! And thanks for being here! Most people know me as Missy, Mel or Mom, but at home, with dogs, cats, kids and a husband - usually all yelling at me at the same time - I think my name is MissyMelMom Woof Meow. My kids consist of a daughter in the 6th grade, a 28-year old college grad living at home while starting his business, and a husband. The meows all come from our Maine Coon cat and the woofs from the two dogs in the house, our needy and Velcro German Shepherds, whose fur is EVERYWHERE no matter how much I brush them or vacuum the house. And yes, I have a Roomba which is useless against the shedded fur. I have a weird love for all things spooky and Halloween and I’ve been told I throw an epic Halloween party. I also love reading and writing, and am a bit obsessed with podcasts (mystery, whodunnit or true crime preferably, though comedy is always appreciated). My family is crazy about hockey and my daughter can (and will) tell you anything you want to know about Sharks players, past or present. Especially Brent Burns.

I have no idea how I’d get out of bed every day without my daily dose of caffeine, which used to be half a pot of coffee, but now is a can of NingXia Zyng mixed with NingXia Red and a shot of NingXia Nitro for good measure. My family wants Thieves diffused everywhere and will ask for essential oil blends first before band-aids or other remedies for aches, pains or owies (which is a big deal in my house!). We’ve also ditched plastics wherever we can...the kitchen, pantry and laundry...and are focused on becoming a healthier, safer, (and better smelling) household.
